What is the ruling of shaving chest hair?

Question:

What is the ruling for a man or woman to remove their chest hair?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to remove chest hair, however it should not be done without purpose.[1]
